My experience in the field of
carpentry dates back to 1990 when I signed my first contract with
Antarctic Support Associates, a sub-contractor who managed and
maintained the research facilities for the United
States Antarctic Program (that contract has since been awarded
to Raytheon). It was at McMurdo
Station, located on Ross Island off the coast of the Antarctic
continent, where I hung my first drywall, laid my first floor
tile, built my first wall, installed my first window, hung my
first door, etc. Since then I have worked steadily as a carpenter
in a variety of residential and commercial situations, and in
July of 1998 decided to go out on my own by founding Brent D.
Stuntzner Construction (CCB# 130570).
As an employee, I was always in demand due to my strong work
ethic, my enthusiasm in tackling new challenges, my problem-solving
skills, my attention to detail, and my congeniality. It is upon
these same qualities on which I have built the foundations of
my own business. As a result, I always guarantee quality workmanship,
creative solutions, and conscientious service. Heres
why:
- Quality Workmanship:
I take tremendous pride in the quality of my work and always
strive for perfection, even under the most challenging circumstances,
whether it be pouring concrete piers under water, cutting steel
in 98 degree Fahrenheit temperatures, or simply building
a fence during an Oregon rainstorm.
- Creative Solutions:
The construction business is fraught with unsuspected difficulties,
challenging problems, and, simply put, hairy head-scratchers.
Sometimes it requires some pretty slick problem-solving to guarantee
the highest quality results. Having worked in a wide range of
situations (e.g. Antarctica, an 1856 historic hotel reconstruction,
some retail store projects, and many custom home constructions),
I have rounded-out my construction skills while developing my
own repertoire of solutions and solution methods.
- Conscientious Service:
The key to success in any endeavor is respect both self-respect
and respect for others. As a contractor, communication and consideration
of my clients needs and desires are my first priorities.
Without proper communication, a contractor is unlikely to be
able to fully satisfy the clients own vision of the product.
And without respect, those necessary lines of communication can
become hindered by social barriers and defensive behavior. I
strive to be forthright, concise, and thoughtful in order to
promote clear communication.
